This workshop is designed specifically for graduate students and postdoctoral fellows conducting hypothesis-driven and need-based research in the science and engineering fields.

Topics to be discussed include:

  • Using electronic search tools to effectively identify appropriate funding opportunities;
  • An introduction to fundamental principles of grant proposal writing;
  • Developing a proposal that meets an agency’s mission;
  • Incorporating review criteria into your proposal writing;
  • An introduction to electronic proposal submission;
  • Increasing the opportunity of getting a proposal funded.
